Cable projects

7kabelkort1When establishing submarine cables, the seabed must be mapped out to determine trenching conditions to pinpoint protected areas. Also, areas of particular interest for fishing, raw materials etc. must be identified, in order to discover a suitable corridor for a detailed survey.

GEO possesses great experience in connection with near-shore submarine cables and can offer a wide range of services ranging from field surveys to assistance in the cable laying process and post laying documentation.

Signature project:
A high voltage cable across the seabed of the Great Belt. GEO carried out the whole site investigation, the geophysical survey and vibrocore and CPT samples along the cable's route.
